Baggage allowance on Vueling Airlines

  1. Basic fare allows only carry-on baggage with dimensions and weight that comply with regulations.
  2. Optima fare allows free baggage allowance. Passengers are entitled to check in one suitcase free of charge, with a maximum weight of 25 kg and dimensions not exceeding 158 cm in the sum of three dimensions.
  3. Excellence fare allows two baggage items with the same restrictions as in the Optima fare.

You will be charged an additional fee for exceeding the limits.

Carriage of non-standard baggage is not included in any of the fares. However, passengers can add it as an additional service when booking or later. Sports equipment or musical instruments must not exceed a weight of 32 kg and a length of 2.70 m. It is recommended to carefully pack, label and protect the transported equipment.

Hand luggage

The hand baggage allowance on Vueling Airlines flights allows you to take one bag or suitcase with dimensions up to 55x40x20 cm and a maximum weight of 10 kg. The list of prohibited items in hand baggage includes substances capable of igniting and exploding: lighters, matches, weapons, lithium batteries and sharp metal objects.

Hand luggage does not include:

  • A briefcase, backpack, or handbag;
  • Outerwear;
  • Baby stroller;
  • Crutches and mobility aids for mobility impaired passengers;
  • Children’s toys;
  • A bag with goods from a duty-free store.

Animal transportation

Vueling Airlines categorizes animals into the following categories:

  1. Small pets: dogs, cats, birds, small rodents and rabbits.
  2. Birds for breeding (permitted on certain routes).
  3. Aquatic animals such as fish or reptiles (only on certain routes).
  4. Raptors and poisonous snakes (not accepted on board).

Restrictions:

  • Only small pets in a container with dimensions not exceeding 20x60x35 cm may be carried in the plane cabin.
  • Breeding birds and aquatic animals must be transported in the cargo compartment of the plane.
  • Some countries and regions have special rules and requirements for import and export of animals.

Reservations and payment:

  • Transportation of pets requires prior reservation and payment of a special fare.
  • It is recommended to contact Vueling Airlines or check the information on their official website for detailed information on fares and booking procedures.

Conditions of transportation:

  • Small pets are placed in containers that meet Vueling Airlines’ size and security requirements.
  • The pet has enough space in the container to move comfortably with the ability to stand, turn and lie down.
  • The carrier is equipped with good ventilation.

Only guide dogs are carried in the cabin (free service). It must have a collar, muzzle, be tied to the seat at the feet of the passenger it accompanies. For transportation of a guide dog, the passenger presents a document confirming his/her disability and veterinary certificates.
